Originally from Somerset, PA, Angela Dice Nguyen graduated from Point Park University summa cum laude with a BFA in dance under the direction of Susan S. Stowe.
Angela enjoyed three incredible seasons as a company member of DanceWorks Chicago before relocating to the Bay Area in 2014.
Locally, Nguyen has appeared with Robert Moses’ KIN, Copious Dance Theater, Harper Addison, and San Francisco Opera, and she is currently a company member of Tanya Bello’s Project.b. Her past engagements include performing with Dance in the Parks, Ahmad Simmons/Pursuit Productions, Dayton Arts Project, August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble, and The Mountain Playhouse (42nd Street and The Pajama Game). Angela also works closely with choreographer Joshua Manculich to stage his work and joined him most recently in St. Louis, MO, to stage his Princess Grace Award Choreographic Commission on The Big Muddy Dance Company.
Angela founded The MoveMessenger(s) in 2015 as a vehicle to create dance with other artists in the Bay Area and beyond. Since debuting as a guest appearance alongside The DanceWright Project in October, the company has performed throughout San Francisco, San Jose, the Monterey Peninsula, and New York City, and continues to develop new work for future opportunities.
